With over 25 years of wilderness and urban Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteer service in Pierce County, Washington, Les has vast knowledge of Search and Rescue operations and a distinct insight on survival as a whole. He has responded to hundreds of Search and Rescue missions over the years. He has been a SAR Organization Co-Founder, Operations Leader and Training Director helping SAR groups, members and law enforcement in their training programs. Producer and host of the Advantage Survival Podcast and author of Surviving a Day Hike All Night, Les wants to help guide you in your search for survival knowledge.
After 28 years as a Construction Superintendent, 10 of which for a major
Seattle based company Les is now retired. He knows the ins and outs of working
in the city and the urban survival challenges that come with it. He brings those
experiences to the urban survival and prepping spectrum. Les now spends his
time assisting his lovely wife Kelly with her thriving real estate business and
being a “stay at home dad” to his three amazing children. Les also maintains his
passion for survival as well as managing SAMIA Media and the Advantage Survival Podcast.
